Main Street work entering new phase for another month
The Journal Gazette
The second phase of improvements at the intersections of Main Street and Clinton Street and Main and Lafayette Street will begin Monday and run through Oct. 19, weather permitting, the city of Fort Wayne said today.
Main Street will be closed to westbound traffic at each intersection while crews remove and replace concrete pavement as a part of an INDOT contract on U.S. 27 through downtown Fort Wayne, the city's traffic engineering department said in a statement.
The lane restrictions on Clinton and Lafayette will also be shifting traffic to the west lanes while this work is performed, the statement said.
It said a detour will use Calhoun Street, Wayne Street or Berry Street, and Lafayette.
