Freistroffer, Hines, Chambers win at-large council seats

Republican incumbent Tom Freistroffer and Democrats Glynn Hines and Michelle Chambers won at-large council seats Tuesday night.

With 100% of the precincts counted, Freistroffer had 26,311 votes, Hines 25,731 and Chambers 24,719. They defeated incumbent Republican Michael Barranda, with 24,160, Democrat Steve Corona, with 23,472, and Republican Nathan Hartman, with 22,746.

Hines is the current 6th District councilman, but ran citywide this year. Democrat Sharon Tucker was unopposed in his district.
