Talking K's, slumps, goalies

We delved into the record books and discovered the Komets' eight-game winless streak is their longest since ... 1996-97.

Bear in mind, the Komets didn't move down to Double-A hockey until 1999.

In 1996-97, the Komets lost six straight in regulation to begin their slump and wound up 0-8-4. This season, the Komets are on an 0-5-3 run.

  • Who would you start in net Friday at Indianapolis? I'd go with Patrick Munson. Here are the Komets' goalies' statistics: Cole Kehler is 8-5-1 with a 3.20 goals-against average, a .889 save percentage and two shutouts; Dylan Ferguson is 2-3-2 with a 4.19 GAA and a .862 SP; Munson is 1-0-1 with a 2.39 GAA and a .930 SP, but he has had to cede playing time to the prospects of the Vegas Golden Knights and Los Angeles Kings.
  • The second half of my visit to the Komets' PodKast was posted this week. You can listen to all three of my appearances below ...
