A travel advisory has been issued for Allen County, the county's Office of Homeland Security said today.
Light freezing rain is continuing to make primary and secondary roads slick and hazardous, and many roads will remain slick into the evening hours, the advisory said. It said drivers should use caution, reduce speed and avoid sudden braking and sharp turns.
In addition, drivers should be cautious when walking to their cars because many of the sidewalks and parking lots are ice-covered and slick, the advisory said.
"You will slide while traveling this evening. We are responding to many slide offs and crashes along all the highways throughout Allen County."
