Forward Zach Pochiro, who had 14 goals and 29 points in 32 games last season, has re-signed with the Komets.
Pochiro had been slated to join the Komets this season but retired Oct. 8, about a month before training camp. Pochiro, 27, had one assist in six games during the playoffs as the Komets won the Kelly Cup.
He needs to get back into game shape, so Pochiro likely won't play for awhile.
Meanwhile, defenseman Blake Siebenaler was released by Ontario of the American Hockey League and is rejoining the Komets. He had one goal and two points in four games for the Reign. He's also played two AHL games this season for Belleville. With the Komets, the native of Fort Wayne has three goals and seven points in eight games this season.
Sienenaler is expected to play Wednesday against Toledo at Memorial Coliseum.
Bad news on defenseman D.J. King, who was injured in Friday’s 1-0 victory over the Iowa Heartlanders: He has a broken leg, per the Komets, and is likely done for the season.
