Fair is pivotal for Ants

JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette

As the Mad Ants (11-8) try to break from their doldrums tonight against the Westchester Knicks (14-8), I think C.J. Fair may be the pivotal figure. No player on the Fort Wayne roster lost more playing time and valuable touches when the Indiana Pacers sent players down than Fair, who has season averages of 10.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists, but he has the capability to lead the team in scoring any night.

If he can step up, the Mad Ants can improve after losing six of their last seven games. The Mad Ants don't have T.J. Leaf, Ike Anigbogu or Alex Poythress right now, so the opportunity is there at Memorial Coliseum.
