Weir, Montgomery to transfer from Purdue Fort Wayne
ELIZABETH WYMAN | The Journal Gazette
Matt Weir and Dee Montgomery are transferring from the Purdue Fort Wayne men's basketball program. Weir, a sophomore from New Concord, Ohio, came off the bench most of the season to run the point and averaged seven points and 17.3 minutes per game. With the departure of guards John Konchar and Kason Harrell it seemed he may have had a starting spot next season. Weir had the highest 3-point percentage in the Summit League this season (47.3%).
Montgomery, a junior, played just one season for PFW. He was a junior college transfer from Arkansas State Mid South. Montgomery was a starter for most of the season, averaging 6.5 points in 17.3 minutes per game.
