The No. 8-ranked Indiana Tech men’s hockey team fell to No. 6-ranked Michigan-Dearborn, 6-1, Friday in WHAC action inside the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena in Dearborn, Michigan.
Francesco Corona scored the lone goal of the night for the Warriors Ryan O’Toole made 17 saves in relief.
The Wolverines scored three times in the first 10 minutes of the game, with the second two coming on the power play off the stick of Nic LaBurn. UM-Dearborn scored twice more before the period ended to take a 5-0 lead into the first intermission.
Corona tallied his 11th goal of the season at the 11:59 mark of the second, but the hosts would answer quickly with a goal at the 7:29 mark of the period while only allowing six shots on goal in the final 20 minutes of the game.
Tech (16-5-1, 10-3-0 WHAC) returns to action at 7 p.m. Saturday as it concludes its weekend set at UM-Dearborn.
