Annual March for Life planned for Jan. 27
Allen County Right to Life will conduct its 44th annual March for Life on Jan. 27 in downtown Fort Wayne to protest the U.S. Supreme Court decision in 1973 that legalized abortion.
The organization said in a news release that it expects thousands of people to participate.
The march will begin at noon with a rally at the University of Saint Francis Performing Arts Center, 431 W. Berry St. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. Adoption advocate Vander Vliet of Indianapolis, the birth mother of a child given up for adoption, will speak.
After the rally, attendees will march through downtown to the E. Ross Adair Federal Building, where members of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign will speak.
"As long as society accepts abortion, you will find us marching for the preborn boys and girls who cannot march on their own," Abigail Lorenzen, Allen County Right to Life operations and media director, said in a statement.
