South Side senior Jaci Jones set a girls SAC Holiday Tournament record on Saturday, scoring 41 points as her Archers beat Northrop 72-48 to advance to the tournament finals.
Jones hit 10 3-pointers while breaking the previous tournament scoring record of 40, which had been set by Deja Wimby of Snider in 2014.
The Archers ran away with the semifinal game in the second half after leading just 28-23 at halftime.
No. 1-seed Homestead faced a tougher battle to get to the finals, getting its second close win over Bishop Luers in just over a week, 44-38. Spartans senior Sydney Graber scored 21 points to lead the defending tournament champs back to the finals.
In the boys semifinal, Snider edged Homestead 65-63 despite a 26-point performance by Spartans senior Zak Krueger. The Panthers were powered by junior Michael Eley, who scored 31. Senior Dillon Duff added 16.
No. 4 seed Carroll ended Northrop's two-game hot streak with a 53-32 victory. Senior Richie Gross led the Chargers with 11 points, and junior Sam Strycker scored 10.
