Homestead girls basketball has climbed back up one spot in this week's Indiana Basketball Coaches Association poll to No. 9. The Spartans (2-1) are the only local team in the top 20, while Angola, Carroll, Concordia, South Side, Garrett, Norwell and Warsaw all received votes.
Homestead is also No. 9 in the ICGSA Class 4A poll. Carroll (2-0) moved up four spots to a tie for 11th, and South Side (2-0) moved up five spots into the tie for 11th.
In Class 3A, Norwell moved up a spot to No. 3, Garrett (4-0) rose two spots to No. 6, Concordia (3-0) jumped five spots to No. 8 and Angola (1-0) rose two spots to No. 11. Bellmont (3-0) appeared in the rankings at No. 16. Bishop Dwenger (0-4), tied for 13th last week, did not receive any votes this week.
No local teams received votes in Class 2A, and Blackhawk Christian (4-1) rose four spots in Class A to No. 15.
