Sept. 3, 1957: Wait For Walk

In September 1957, a Pedestrian Protection program was sponsored in Fort Wayne by the Traffic and Public Safety Committee of the Chamber of Commerce Safety Council, Fort Wayne Police Department, City Traffic Engineering Department and the Civilian Club.

The month-long campaign was aimed at educating the city's pedestrians about traffic issues.
