A pursuit in New Haven early Tuesday led to a crash and the arrest of a 26-year-old man.
New Haven police responded to a call of a suspicious person in the 10000 block of Graystone Cove just after 1 a.m., the police department said.
A pursuit ensued when officers found the vehicle and tried to stop it.
The vehicle went off the road in the 10000 block of Bookcliff Cove and continued off-road to the Cameron Court Apartments in the 10000 block of Seiler Road. The driver eventually drove into a ditch near Graystone Cove, police said.
The driver, Jared Starkey, was removed from the vehicle by emergency workers.
A bag of what appeared to be synthetic drugs was found under Starkey when he was taken out of the car, police said.
Starkey was taken to a hospital to be checked for injuries before being taken to Allen County Jail.
He was charged with felony counts of resisting law enforcement and possession of a synthetic drug along with a misdemeanor charge and traffic violations.
