Fort Wayne police have arrested a 23-year-old man they say is a person of interest in the suspicious death of a toddler.
Police said they arrested Trevon Bishop after 10 p.m. He is being held on an unrelated charge of carrying a handgun while having a prior felony conviction.
The toddler, a boy, was discovered Thursday in the 4300 block of Joshua Lane, near McKinnie Avenue and South Anthony Boulevard, according to Tim Hughes, head of the Fort Wayne Police Department's homicide division.
Police had no other details about the boy's identity or death. The Allen County coroner has not issued a ruling on the cause or manner of the boy's death.
