Luers girls knock off Carroll in double OT

The Bishop Luers girls basketball team pulled out a 63-60 double-overtime victory over visiting Carroll on Friday behind 13 points from Kennedy Glenn and 11 for Katelynn Gray. It was the third straight win for the Knights (10-6).

The Chargers (9-8) got 22 points from Emily Parrett and 19 from Olivia Hoeppner but still lost their fourth straight. 

SOUTH SIDE 73, CONCORDIA 49: At South Side, Olivia Smith scored 20 points on 3-of-6 shooting from 3-point range to help the Archers (12-6) snap a three-game losing streak. Carissa Garcia scored a game-high 22 to lead Class 3A No. 10 Concordia (13-5).

NORTHROP 53, NORTH SIDE 31: At North Side, J'Asia Scott put up 12 points and eight rebounds, while Destiny Jackson chipped in seven points and 12 rebounds to lead the Bruins (10-7) to a fourth straight win.

Boys

SOUTH SIDE 63, CONCORDIA 54: At South Side, JT Langston Jr. scored 16 points and Austin Jordan chipped in 15 to lead the Archers to their second straight win.

HERITAGE 57, WOODLAN 56: In an ACAC Tournament semifinal, Aiden Bayman led all scorers with 19 points for Woodlan (3-10), but the Patriots (13-2) escaped with a win thanks to 14 points from Alec Burton.

ADAMS CENTRAL 45, BLUFFTON 40: In the other ACAC Tournament semifinal, senior guard Kevin Brown carried the Flying Jets (7-5) with 29 points. 

NEW HAVEN 64, LEO 57: At Leo, Donovynn Lewis scored 16 points and Jaden Harris had 13 points and six rebounds to lead the Bulldogs (4-10). New Haven shot 14 of 17 from the free-throw line. Blake Davison scored 21 points for Leo (3-7).

CANTERBURY 64, LAKEWOOD PARK 59: At Lakewood Park, Will Shank had 22 points to propel the Cavaliers (3-6) to a win that stopped a five-game losing streak. Josh Pike had 19 points for Lakewood Park (4-7).

HUNTINGTON NORTH 41, COLUMBIA CITY 29: At Huntington North, Mitchell Wilson scored 18 points on 3-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc for the Eagles (4-8), but it wasn't enough as the Vikings (11-3) improved to 9-0 at home. 

NORWELL 57, BELLMONT 49: At Norwell, Will Geiger racked up 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Knights. (8-4). Kade Fuelling scored 19 for Bellmont, which saw a four-game winning streak end.

Girls wrestling

At Hamilton Heights, New Haven sophomore La'Rissa Bryant-Coleman captured the girls state wrestling title in the 182-pound division. The 132-pound title went to Jordan Courtier of Whitko. Bryant-Coleman was joined in the state meet by her sister, Larresha Bryant-Coleman and a third Bulldog, Alexandria Martz.
